Toatsing to the night! Skull Creek Stout.

A great time was had by all at Brewer’s first ever Brewer’s Dinner! Josh, Chef Dan, and Assistant Cassie send out a sincere thanks to the 25 of you who attended. The crowd was diverse, and some stayed late into the night! From the Paddler’s Organic Pale Ale salad dressing, to the mouth watering cake (created exclusively by Cassie) soaked in Dog Fish Head Rum (thanks Sam!!)~ the meal was excellent, and each course was served with a Brewer’s beer, as well as incorporated into the dish. The night finished (officially at least) when Josh busted out a special surprise, and sent around 2 rounds of iced down Dog Fish Head rum- this was a very well received treat! Thank you again for you support… until next time…

What we’ve been up to lately!

Here are a few pics from things we’ve been up to lately!

The Beaufort Memorial Cycling Classic was really incredible. If you missed it, I’m honestly sorry- because it was dynamic! We served Brewer’s beer in the VIP tent- and snuck to catch several great views of the cyclists.

Only a few days later, we found ourselves at Taste of Beaufort. Wow- a terrific time- but we were so busy we didn’t get to make rounds on all the vendors (or take any pictures!) We served up our crab cakes, our famous soft beer pretzels, gumbo, calamari and all beef hot dogs. Our crab cakes sold like crazy! Thanks to everyone for their support of our booth- we had a busy day and enjoyed every moment!

On the heels of Taste of Beaufort, we had our Kick the Keg and Cookout event on the patio at Brewer’s. Chef Dan parked the mega grill right on the patio and offered burgers and dogs… picnic style, and to wash it down Josh poured Flat Stanley Hefe and Paddler’s Organic Pale Ale. A special thanks to those of you who turned out!

who IS Flat Stanley?

flat stanley learns that Brewer’s gives spent grain from brewing
to Henry Farms of St. Helena to feed to their animals…and they love it!

… You’ve seen him hangin’ around the brewpub, but WHO IS FLAT STANLEY anyway?

Flat Stanley is a character in a children’s book (a chalk board fell on him!) But, Flat Stanley looked on the bright side of being flat… he could travel cheaply in an envelope! And so, he was “brought to life” and mailed to us from a second grade class in Illinois. Flat Stanley’s mission was to learn about brewing, about us being Green, and about life in Beaufort in general.

Flat Stanley helped Josh brew Hefeweizen… all reports are he did an outstanding job, and he is now an official Jr. Brewer! We created a memory book of his stay and sent it back to the classroom… asking the children lots of questions, and giving them some fun pictures to learn by. Flat Stanley will soon report to the class all that he learned about the science of brewing, helping the environment, and how awesome Beaufort is!

We appreciate being involved in children’s learning– and we are excited that a little bit of Beaufort is being shared in a classroom far away!  PS TRY FLAT STANLEY HEFE!! PLANS ARE FOR IT TO BE ON TAP THIS TUESDAY, 4/22!

Brewer’s T Shirts are HERE!

Yes, our t-shirts have finally arrived (here are two of our ladies Ts) -and they have been selling fast! We have 4 women’s and 4 men’s shirts to choose from. If you’re a BBC (Brewer’s Beer Club) member, you’ll receive 10% off our tshirts for the rest of the month- so come on in! They are displayed near the host-station, as you walk in the front door. Joe T. (BBC member and homebrew member) has been asking me for a tshirt since Day 1, and he’s true to his word… he was the first person to buy a T. Thanks! ~Alexia

In keeping with our effort to be Green, we are proud to have been chosen as the official monthly gathering spot for this well respected (and FUN) group:
GREENDRINKS.

We hope you’ll come to the 1st gathering,

 Here’s some info: GreenDrinks is an informal networking event where environmentally minded people meet over drinks. Started in London in 1989, it has spread to 49 cities in the US and many more worldwide. As of March 2008, there are 350 Green Drink Chapters worldwide.
